Energy Minister Meets CEOS Of State Enterprises of the Petroleum Sub-Sector
Minister for Energy, Hon. Boakye Agyarko, on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 met with CEOs of State Enterprises in the Petroleum sub-sector - upstream and downstream - to discuss policy framework developed for the sector at the maiden Energy Summit organized last year.
The meeting which was dubbed "CEOs Forum", was to provide a platform for the various Chief Executives to deliberate and align efforts and programmes of their institutions with the objectives of the policy framework for the petroleum sector. It is also to build synergies among the various institutions to achieve the aspirations and visions of Government that fall under the ambit of the Petroleum sector.
Addressing the Chief Executive Officers present, Hon. Boakye Agyarko congratulated them for work done in 2017 and urged them to work diligently to achieve their targets for 2018.
The Minister further touched on Government's plans and programmes for the petroleum sub-sector for the rest of the year.
The various Chief Executive Officers took turns to present their policies and targets for 2018.
Other dignitaries present were Dep. Minister of Energy in charge of Petroleum, Dep. Minister in charge of Finance and Infrastructure, Chief Director of Ministry of Energy, management of the Ministry's petroleum sector agencies namely; Petroleum Commission (PC), Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC), National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Ghana Oil Company (GOIL), Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) and Bulk Oil Storage and Transport (BOST).
