Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Hon John Abdulai Jinapor has held a meeting as part of the Ministry’s ongoing engagements with stakeholders in the energy sector.  

The meeting which centred on issues of their welfare, a structured and fair salary for petroleum tanker drivers across the country, unlawful surcharges among other pertinent issues confronting drivers in the petroleum distribution chain to ensure stability and efficiency.

Hon Jinapor emphasized the importance of tanker drivers in the country’s petroleum distribution and transportation system, and their contribution in ensuring continuous supply and stability of fuel across the country.

The Minister assured them that the Ministry working together with the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) and other key stakeholders will develop a comprehensive framework that will safeguard their welfare, enhance operational efficiency, and promote industrial harmony within the sector.

He further pledged government continuous dedication to upholding fairness, transparency, and inclusiveness with stakeholders within the energy value chain.
