Energy Minister Delivers Keynote Address At 2025 Local Content Conference & Exhibition

The Minister of energy and Green Transition on 4th November 2025 delivered the keynote address at the 2025 Local Content Conference & Exhibition in the Western Region where he reaffirmed Government’s commitment to revitalising Ghana’s upstream petroleum sector.
He emphasised that despite recent challenges including a 32% decline in oil production since 2019 and reduced exploration activity, decisive actions are underway to restore investor confidence and strengthen local participation.
“Through regulatory reforms, fiscal incentives, gas development initiatives and renewed focus on local content, we are charting a new course for growth”. He stated.
He stated that in line with President John Dramani Mahama’s Reset Agenda, these actions will revitalise our upstream sector and secure a sustainable, competitive energy future for Ghana.
The Minister noted that Ghana’s upstream industry is undergoing renewal, and together, we will build a resilient, competitive, and future-ready energy economy.
