Energy Minister Inaugurates New GNPC Board
The Minister for Energy has inaugurated the newly constituted Board of the GNPC Foundation, reaffirming government’s commitment to ensuring that petroleum resources deliver tangible social and economic benefits to Ghanaians.
The GNPC Foundation, established to champion social impact initiatives in education, health, and economic empowerment, continues to play a pivotal role in transforming lives particularly in oil-producing communities. The Minister noted that under the vision of H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, the Foundation remains central to driving inclusive development across the country.
During the inauguration, the Minister congratulated the new Board Members and charged them to uphold the highest standards of transparency, inclusivity, and excellence as they execute the Foundation’s mandate.
The newly sworn-in Board is chaired by Prof. Albert Kwaku Akpalu, with Madam Helga J. M. Boadi, CEO of the GNPC Foundation, and Mr. Kwame Ntow Amoah, CEO of GNPC, serving as key members. Other members include Naa Ayorkor Gyaama Cato-Browne, Prof. Patience Aseweh Abor, Mr. Yaw Boateng Gyan, and Hon. Alhassan Umar.
