Ghana Strengthens Renewable Energy Partnership with International Solar Alliance
On the sidelines of the 8th Session of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Assembly in New Delhi, Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor, held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Ashish Khanna, Director-General of ISA.
The discussions centered on enhancing collaboration between Ghana and ISA to accelerate renewable energy deployment and improve efficiency across the energy value chain, particularly within the distribution sector. Opportunities to deepen technical partnerships and develop sustainable financing mechanisms were also explored, aiming to fast-track Ghana’s transition to clean and reliable energy.
The ISA Director-General reaffirmed the Alliance’s commitment to supporting Ghana with technical expertise, capacity building, and financial assistance, reinforcing the shared vision of expanding access to affordable solar solutions.
Hon. Jinapor emphasized that Ghana and ISA will continue to work together to build a resilient, efficient, and inclusive energy ecosystem harnessing the power of the sun to drive sustainable growth for all.
