Ghana’s seat of government, Jubilee House, is walking the talk in its quest to install solar PV panels after the president of the West African nation promised last year to ensure that the seat of government installs solar power to reduce the cost of electricity consumed.
President of the Republic of Ghana in West Africa, H.E Nana Akufo-Addo is expected to cut the sod for the construction of a 4MW and 13WM solar power project in Lawra and Kaleo townships respectively in the Upper West Region on Tuesday.
Hon. John Peter Amewu, Minister for Energy, on Friday 27th September 2019 inspected the completed Tsatsadu Mini-hydro power Project at Alavanyo-Abehenease in the Volta Region. He undertook this inspection in preparation for the official commissioning of the Project. The Minister in his address noted that the Government of Ghana is committed to ensuring that more renewable sources of energy are added to the national energy mix to reduce over reliance on the thermal energy sources as a main source of power.
