Since taking office, the Hon. Minister for Energy, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has undertaken several visits to key installations in the power sector. His first of such visits was to the GRIDCo site in Tema, to familiarize himself with the progress of work to resolve constraints in the system. He was accompanied by the Minister for Information, Hon. Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah.

Participating in the high-level event, Ghana’s Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Hon. John Jinapor , serving as Vice President of the ISA Africa Region delivered the regional report on behalf of Africa.
In his address, he underscored a striking paradox revealed through ongoing deliberations: although Africa holds nearly 60 percent of the world’s best solar resources, the continent attracts only 2 percent of global clean energy investment.
